The focus of this track is the design, planning, and operation of supply chains. This involves the orchestration of the production of raw materials, the manufacturing of components, the assembly and packaging of final products, and the transportation, distribution and retail of these products, as well as their after-sales maintenance, repair and end-of-life disposal and reuse. You will learn how to manage and coordinate the underlying flows of physical goods, information, and money, and the enabling technologies that support these flows through the supply chain. Topics covered in various courses include facility location, production planning and scheduling, inventory management and warehousing, transportation and vehicle routing, retail operation, supplier selection and contract design, and revenue management and pricing, among many others.
