DB Schenker is an established international logistics company. It offers a wide variety of services ranging from road, air and ocean freight to contact logistics and lead logistics. Our project mainly focuses on the analysis of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) system and provide insightful solutions which aim to improve the efficiency of the new Singapore warehouse that began its operation in November last year. The analysis is done by categorising the orders according to its importance using the Pareto Principle of 80/20 rule with ABC analysis model. By categorising the order, DB Schenker is able to improve the efficient use of resources and in compliance to its Key Performance Index. Since the Power BI software is used to visualise the data, it helps the management team to gain better comprehension of the data which leads to making more informed decision.
