Abstract

Many companies outsource their logistics activities, such as inbound and outbound logistics, inventory management, and domestic distribution to a third-party, so that they can focus on their core competencies like product development, product design, marketing, sales, R&D, etc. This outsourced business is known as contract logistics (CL). Coupled with the e-commerce boom, this industry is now attracting a lot of capital and talents in recent years and is being reshaped by key trends of automation and digitalisation.
