Abstract

Quantum computing and machine learning are two fast-progressing and highly relevant technologies for the future. Quantum machine learning explores the exciting intersection of both fields. In this talk, I will provide an introduction to quantum machine learning, a summary of its current status, the challenges it faces, and what lies ahead. No previous knowledge of quantum machine learning will be assumed.

About the Speaker

Dr. Kishor Bharti is a Senior Scientist at IHPC, ASTAR, Singapore, and an Investigator at ASTAR Q.InC. He is also a visiting faculty member at CQuERE in India, Editor at Quantum journal and has served as an adjunct assistant professor at SUTD. Dr. Bharti has co-authored 46 papers, with publications in top-tier journals such as Physical Review Letters , PRX Quantum, Reviews of Modern Physics, FOCS, TQC, and Nature Partner Journal Quantum Information. His work has garnered over 2,400 citations. Alongside his research, he is passionate about education and public outreach.
