Changi General Hospital
Biography
From 2012 to May 2018, Peter served as Chief Operating Officer at Changi General Hospital (CGH), where he drove efficiency and integration of operations and programmes across departments and disciplines in the hospital. In addition, he provided management oversight for new initiatives to improve patient flow, productivity and patient experience. Together with the Human Resource Department, Peter also steered the competency development for nonclinical staff in CGH.
Prior to joining healthcare in 2012, Peter had a 27-year long career in the military with the Singapore Armed Forces, where he held various senior leadership, staff and training positions. Peter was instrumental in the transformation of the logistics organisation, integrating various domains leveraging on network and information technology. He was also involved in training and introduced several learning methodologies to extend operational knowledge in the Army.
Peter graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring Sociology and Psychology, and obtained a Master of Science in Transport Systems Management, both from the National University of Singapore. He also received the SMU-SingHealth Graduate Diploma in Healthcare Management and Leadership Programme in 2014.
